Louisiana State Police Issue Arrest Warrant for Kyren Lacy in Fatal Crash
Louisiana State Police Troop C has announced an arrest warrant for 24-year-old Kyren Lacy of Thibodaux, in connection with a fatal crash that occurred on December 17, 2024, on Louisiana Highway 20 near Perez Lane.
According to investigators, Lacy was driving a 2023 Dodge Charger southbound on LA Highway 20 when he recklessly passed multiple vehicles at a high rate of speed, crossing the centerline into the northbound lane in a designated no-passing zone.
The reckless maneuver led to a chain reaction of events, resulting in a head-on collision between a 2017 Kia Cadenza and a southbound 2017 Kia Sorento. Herman Hall, a 78-year-old passenger in the Kia Sorento, sustained severe injuries and later succumbed to his injuries at a hospital.
Lacy fled the scene without stopping to render aid, contact emergency services, or report the incident. The Louisiana State Police is urging anyone with information regarding Lacy’s whereabouts to come forward.
