
Tragedy Strikes: 16-Year-Old Boy Dies After Falling Through Ice on Frozen Pond
Ohio – A devastating incident occurred on Wednesday morning when 16-year-old Lamar Good fell through the ice of a frozen pond while ice skating with his younger brother, according to Ohio officials.
The Summit County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Lamar Good. The incident happened around 10:40 a.m. near Fulton Road.
Firefighters reported that the boy’s 5-year-old brother witnessed the tragic event and quickly alerted their family. A neighbor, who resides on the property where the pond is located, also called 911 for assistance.
According to authorities, Lamar fell into the deepest section of the pond and remained submerged for approximately 10 minutes before emergency responders arrived. Rescue teams successfully retrieved the teenager from the water, but despite administering
CPR and rushing him to the hospital, he sadly did not survive.
The medical examiner has ruled Lamar’s death as accidental. The community is in shock, and condolences are pouring in for the family.
